Warm-Weather Shipping

GrendelSweets wants to make sure your chocolates arrive in the best condition possible. During summer and other unseasonably warm periods, we pack our chocolates with ice and offer only next-day delivery for all our products.

You can choose from UPS Next Day Air (delivery by 10:30 a.m.), UPS Next Day Air Saver (delivery by 3:00 p.m.), and U.S. Postal Service Express Mail (overnight to major cities). Express Mail is generally less expensive and is the only option available for shipping to P.O. boxes, however, overnight Express Mail is available only in certain areas. Please check the USPS website to see if your zip code is within the guaranteed area. (Use Origin Zip Code 98008.)

To further ensure your chocolates arrive safely, we suggest you ship to an office address rather than a home address, unless you are certain someone will be available to receive the chocolates. Note that UPS does not ship to P.O. boxes; you must supply a valid street address or choose USPS mail.

Upon receipt, we recommend you store your chocolates in a cool (60 to 70 degrees), dry environment. If you need to refrigerate your chocolates, place them in a sealed container, and let them warm to room temperature before enjoying them. We do not recommend freezing your chocolates.

Cool-Weather Shipping

During cooler months, GrendelSweets offers a variety of shipping options, ranging from UPS next day delivery to UPS ground and USPS Priority Mail (up to 5 business days) for less time-sensitive packages. Note that UPS does not ship to P.O. boxes; you must supply a valid street address or choose USPS mail.

Shipping Schedule

GrendelSweets™ chocolates are made to order in small batches, and shipments are scheduled to ensure the freshest delivery. Please consult the schedule below to determine when your order will arrive:

• Orders placed Wednesday through Saturday will ship the following Monday.
• Orders placed Sunday or Monday will ship Wednesday.
• Orders placed Tuesday will ship Thursday if next day delivery is selected; or the following Monday for all other delivery options.

If for any reason we cannot ship your order as scheduled, we will contact you immediately.

If you require Saturday delivery or other alternative shipping, please contact us to make arrangements.

International Shipping

GrendelSweets is currently unable to provide shipping outside the U.S. through our website. If you wish to arrange international shipping, please contact us directly.

Shipping Disclaimers

Unless instructed otherwise, the UPS driver will leave your package at the destination even if no one is available to sign for it. If you cannot ensure someone will be available to accept delivery, we recommend you either instruct UPS to hold your package or you provide a cool, safe area (e.g., an ice chest) where the driver can leave your package. GrendelSweets is not responsible for theft or damage of packages that are left without a signature.

GrendelSweets is not responsible for incorrect addresses provided by the customer, nor are we responsible if recipients fail to collect their deliveries in a timely manner. Please verify all shipping addresses and ensure that recipients are aware of their deliveries. If UPS is required to redirect a delivery, the customer will be responsible for any surcharges incurred (currently $10).
